BRISEIDE at the WPS and scientific computing for Climate Change Informal Day Workshop

BRISEIDE will be presented at the Workshop WPS and Scientific Computing for Climate Change Informal Day on Thursday 13th May 2010, FBK – via Sommarive 18, Povo, Trento (Italy) - West Building. The meeting is directed to specialists interested in Web Processing Service (WPS) technologies for scientific geo-computing, and to their application in the integration and analysis of spatial temporal data for Climate Change. Standards and new technologies for WPS-based analysis will be presented, together with applications focusing on the impact of climate change on environment, agriculture, forestry and society. The talks will be followed by a panel discussion. The meeting is organized by the Predictive Models for Biomedicine and Environment research unit (FBK-MPBA) as a follow-up of standardization and coordination activities for Climate Change geoinformatics proposed at FOSS4G 2009. The event is Supported by EnviroChange, a project of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

BRISEIDE at the 5th Grid and e-collaboration Workshop: from Digital Repositories to Digital Earth Communities ESA/ESRIN

BRISEIDE will be presented at the 5th Grid and e-collaboration Workshop: from Digital Repositories to Digital Earth Communities, ESA/ESRIN Frascati, Italy 12th May 2010. The workshop is part of the series "grid and e-collaboration" (see http://www.congrex.nl/08m16/ for the last year event), and is intended to be also the final User Forum workshop of GENESI-DR project. Starting from the federation of Digital Repositories set up by GENESI-DR, the challenge is now to expand this e-infrastructure to fully respond to the real needs of several Digital Earth Communities. Relations among specific European and worldwide programmes and initiatives, projects collaborations, gateways with already existing infrastructures, and communities specific tools will considered. Focus will be given to project funded by different directorates of EC, and to the GEO-GEOSS programme.

BRISEIDE at 4th GEO European Projects Workshop

The project BRISEIDE has been presented at the 4th GEO European Projects Workshop (29-30 April 2010) Athens,Greece. The main focus of this fourth Workshop was to finalise the content of the European input to the GEO VII Plenary and Ministerial Summit in Beijing in November 2010. A poster of the project has been presented during the event.
